Responsibility
We are committed to building on our culture of inclusion and belonging that reflects the communities where we operate and the patients we serve.
Our approach to DE&I and our culture has matured during the past several years — and we continuously evolve to meet the expectations of our employees, patients and the communities we serve. We are working to advance our overall DE&I strategy and we check our progress by looking at the data.
While our commitment to DE&I starts at the top, it is carried through at every level of our organization. Nowhere is this more evident than through our Employee Resource Networks — groups for those who share characteristics, life experiences and interests, along with their allies. These groups offer opportunities to support and advance business objectives, exchange knowledge, find mentors, volunteer and receive support — all of which are invaluable for career development
In Canada, we pride ourselves on having a team and culture that reflects our diversity as a country. Our team represents a wide variety of cultures from around the world, and more than 50% of our people-managers and 70% of our Leadership Team are women.
We recognize that a truly diverse and inclusive workplace brings countless benefits, and we actively strive to create an environment where all voices are represented, heard, valued, and considered. Our local DE&I Council complements these efforts and the voices of our Employee Resource Networks to uphold our organization’s unique Canadian identity and Biogen values.
We are also a proud and active member of the City of Mississauga's and Healthcare Businesswoman Association's Equity and Diversity Collaborative – a consortium of Canadian healthcare and life sciences companies dedicated to driving gender equity and diversity in the workplace.
